World News Report: "Iraqi Translators"
Producer, Writer, Correspondent
Iraqi translators risked their lives to work with American military forces after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. The work made them targets. This piece profiles four translators in four different countries, all of whom had become refugees seeking asylum. Forced to flee their country, they were largely ignored by the US government and instead pin their hopes on the efforts of a band of activists and former soldiers trying to help them reach safety.
